Because we want to adhere to Data Protection Act requirements with regard to processing personal details, we process your personal details carefully and in a protected manner. In this privacy statement we explain what personal details we collect and what we use your details for.

EcomMedics respects the privacy of all its site’s users and ensures that the personal information you provide us is treated confidentially. We use your details to process your orders as quickly and easily as possible and EcomMedics will not sell your personal details to any third parties and will only provide your personal details to third parties that are involved in completing your order.

Data processing method and objective

Users have the option to register themselves and an account is created for you following registration.

Each user chooses what personal information he or she wishes to provide. We only save and use the personal details provided upon registration and delete data that is no longer required.

You are asked to submit the following personal details to be processed by us:

• email address and password
• name, surname
• invoice address and shipping address

Users also have the option to place orders without registering.

If you place an order (with or without an account/registration), we need your name, email address, delivery address and payment details in order to process your order and keep you informed throughout the process. These details are also passed on to third parties that are involved in conducting the agreement.

Other use and processing

In order to make shopping at EcomMedics as pleasant an experience as possible, with your permission, we save your personal details and data with respect to your order as well as the use of our services so we can personalise the website.

Protection of personal details

We use strict safety procedures in order to prevent unauthorised persons gaining access to your personal details. Therefore, we use secured connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) for the payment process so that all information exchanged between you and our website is protected. You can be assured that our database in which the data is stored is adequately protected as far as it is technically possible to do so.

Email and newsletter

We use your email address to inform you of the development of the website and on special promotions and campaigns. If you no longer wish to receive this information you can you unregister on our website, but you can also make use of the link that is indicated in each email or send an email to info@ecommedics.com.

We send these emails to existing clients but also to users that have specifically registered for the newsletter and have given permission through our websites.

When you log in to our site or send us an email, the details you send us are saved as long as necessary to answer your request or email.

Contests

If you respond to a campaign or contest, we ask for your name, address and email address. We use this information to process the campaign, announce the contest winner(s) and to measure the response to our marketing campaigns.

Third party websites

This privacy statement does not apply to third party websites that are connected by links to this website. We cannot guarantee that these third parties deal with your personal details in a reliable and safe way. We recommend that you read the privacy statement of these websites before using these websites.

Disclosure to third parties

EcomMedics will not sell your personal details to any third parties and will only disclose your personal details to third parties that are involved in conducting your order. Our employees and third parties commissioned by us are obliged to respect the confidentiality of your details.

Furthermore, details will only be provided to the authorities if there is a legal obligation to do so.

Mollie

We use the Mollie platform to handle a (part of) the payments in our webshop. Mollie processes your name, address and residence details and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and to share (anonymised) data with third parties. In the case of an application for a deferred payment (credit facility), Mollie will share personal information and information regarding your financial position with credit rating agencies. All the above-mentioned safeguards with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollies services for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data for longer than is permitted under the legal terms.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

If you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for the execution of the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this information only for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

DHL

If you place an order with us, it is our job to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of DHL to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence details with DHL. DHL only uses this information for the purpose of executing the agreement. In the event that DHL engages subcontractors, DHL also makes your data available to these parties.

Your rights

Based on the applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below which rights these are and how you can invoke these rights.

In principle, in order to prevent abuse, we will send copies and copies of your data only to your already known e-mail address. You always have the right to limit the data that we process or have related to your person or that can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you confirmation that the data is no longer being processed until you have removed the restriction to the e-mail address known to us.

Right of transferability

You always have the right to have the data that we process or have processed and that are related to your person or that can be traced back to this by another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy contact person. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies or copies of all the information about you that we have processed or done on the e-mail address known to us.

Google Analytics

The cookie is placed by the US company Google as part of the “Analytics” service. EcomBizz uses this service to monitor the behaviour of website visitors and make reports on how visitors use the website. Google can provide this information to third parties if Google is required by law to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We do not have any influence on this. The information Google collects is anonymous as much as possible and your IP-address is explicitly not provided. The information is transferred to and saved by Google on servers in the United States.

Facebook, Twitter

Our website includes buttons to promote web pages (“to like”) or share (“tweet”) on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. These buttons work with pieces of code that come from Facebook or Twitter that use cookies. We do not have any influence on this. Please read the privacy statement of Facebook or Twitter (which can change regularly) to find out what they do with the personal details that they process using these cookies.

The information they collect is anonymous as much as possible and is transferred to, and saved by, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn on servers in the United States. LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook claim to adhere to the Safe Harbor Principles and are members of the United Sates Department of Commerce Safe Harbor programme. This means that there is a suitable level of protection when processing any personal details.

TradeTracker

The cookie is placed by the company TradeTracker as part of the “Affiliate-service”. The Tradetracker cookie ensures that referring sites have the opportunity of receiving a small fee for selling their referrals.
